A Little Bit of History
Bobcat of Fort Wayne was founded in 1964 by Blankenbaker and Maier under the name "B&M Equipment." After many years, a location change, and a name change, Mr. Maier retired in 1999 and turned over the reins to Wyatt and Sherry Akers - the then owners of Bobcat of Fort Wayne.
July 2013 brought another change to the business. Buddy Funk accepted the titles of Owner and President, allowing Wyatt Akers to enjoy his well-deserved retirement.
Throughout the years, all of the new ideas, new designs, new product lines, and new faces (along with some you may still recognize) have made Bobcat of Fort Wayne into what it is today - your only full-service local Bobcat® dealer offering the best in compact construction equipment.
